1. Overview

This Privacy & Data Policy applies to the Prepethon website, web app, desktop app, mobile apps, and related services (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Evigasoft Canada Inc. (“Prepethon,” “we,” “us”), a Canadian corporation with its registered office in Alberta, Canada. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.

We collect only the information reasonably needed to provide household-readiness features, secure your account, process subscriptions, keep the Service reliable, and meet legal obligations. Using Prepethon is optional, and the AI-powered features are optional within the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile image, and Google account identifier. We never see your Google password. If you sign in with an email code instead, we collect only your email address; the one-time code is not stored in readable form. Prepethon does not use passwords.

Readiness and household information you provide

Depending on the features you use, you may choose to provide:

  • inventory details — item names, quantities, nutrition information, purchase and expiry dates, storage locations, and notes;
  • household-member details — names, ages, weights, dietary restrictions, and estimated calorie needs, plus household flags such as medical or mobility needs, pets, and vehicle access;
  • emergency-plan details — questionnaire answers, meeting places, evacuation routes, and emergency-contact names and phone numbers;
  • an optional map location — if you choose “use my location” while planning evacuation, the map pin you place is saved with your plan. We do not track your location in the background, and your location is not shared with third parties;
  • documents you upload to the vault — the files themselves plus titles, categories, notes, and expiry dates; and
  • checklists, kits, shopping lists, meals, recipes, scores, streaks, and achievements generated as you use the Service.

Billing information

We store your subscription status, tier, renewal or end dates, and a Stripe customer identifier, along with the card brand, last four digits, and expiry month reported back by Stripe. Payment-card numbers are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach Prepethon’s servers. If you follow an affiliate product recommendation, we record which product you selected and when.

Technical information

Like most online services, our infrastructure processes basic technical data — such as IP address, device type, and request timestamps — to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. The app also keeps your sign-in session and preferences on your device so it can work offline. Prepethon does not use advertising trackers or third-party behavioural analytics.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • sign you in and operate your account;
  • calculate readiness scores, supply coverage, expiry alerts, and household recommendations;
  • create the emergency plans, meal ideas, scans, and other features you request;
  • store and retrieve your vault documents;
  • process and administer subscriptions;
  • protect the Service, prevent abuse, and keep it reliable; and
  • comply with applicable law and respond to valid legal requests.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your vault documents, household details, or emergency plans for advertising of any kind.

4. AI-powered features

Prepethon uses Google Gemini for optional features such as item scanning, meal suggestions, nutrition assistance, chat, and generated survival plans. These features only run when you use them, and each one sends Google the specific content it needs:

  • Chat sends your messages and recent conversation context.
  • Item scanning sends the photo or file you submit. We do not keep the photo — only the recognized items you choose to save.
  • Meal suggestions and survival plans send relevant inventory details and household information you have entered, such as family members’ ages and dietary restrictions, so results fit your household.

We use Google’s paid Gemini API, under which Google acts as a data processor: it does not use your prompts or the responses to train its models, and retains them only for a limited period for abuse monitoring. Your vault documents are never sent to AI features. Avoid submitting information to an AI feature that it does not need. AI output can be incomplete or wrong: it is guidance to help you prepare, not a substitute for professional, medical, legal, or emergency-service advice.

5. When we share information

We disclose information only as needed to operate the Service or as required by law, to:

  • Google — for sign-in with Google and for processing AI requests through Gemini;
  • Stripe — for checkout, subscriptions, billing portals, and payment administration;
  • Resend — our email provider, which delivers sign-in codes to your email address;
  • Cloudflare and our hosting providers — for secure delivery, networking, hosting, and backups;
  • affiliate merchants — only when you choose to leave Prepethon for an external product page; and
  • authorities, professional advisers, or a successor organization where legally required or as part of a legitimate corporate transaction.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Personal information may be stored or processed outside your province, state, or country — including in the United States — where it can be subject to local law and lawful access by courts and authorities in those jurisdictions.

6. Storage and retention

Your account and readiness information, including vault documents, is stored in Prepethon’s database. Some preferences and cached information also remain on the device where you use the app; Kids Zone activity progress stays on the device only and is not uploaded to our servers.

We retain your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, household, inventory, plans, vault documents, and activity history are permanently deleted from our database right away. Records held by Stripe about past payments are retained by Stripe as required for financial and tax purposes, and residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before they cycle out. Sign-in codes expire automatically within minutes.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

You can edit or remove inventory, household, plan, contact, and vault records directly in the app, and you can delete your entire account in Settings — no email required. You may also contact us to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed;
  • access, correct, or receive a copy of your personal information;
  • delete your account and associated information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • withdraw consent for optional processing; or
  • raise a privacy question or concern.

We respond to requests at [email protected] and may need to verify your identity first. Depending on where you live, these rights are backed by law — including PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws in Canada, the GDPR in Europe, state privacy laws in the United States, and the LGPD in Brazil — and you may also complain to your local privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Signing out does not delete server-side account data, and clearing your browser or app storage only removes local data from that device. To close your account entirely, use “Delete account” in Settings or email us.

8. Children and family-member information

Prepethon accounts are intended for adults, and the Service is not directed at children. As the account holder, you may enter information about your household members — including children — to size supplies and build family plans. Enter another person’s information only when you are authorized to do so, and provide no more detail than the feature needs. The Kids Zone is designed to be used together with a parent or guardian; its activity progress is stored only on your device and is never uploaded, and children should not create accounts or submit personal information directly.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Household details you enter about children are provided and controlled by you as the adult account holder, are used only to provide the Service, are never sold or used for advertising, and can be deleted by you at any time. If you believe a child has created an account or submitted personal information directly, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. Security and incident response

We protect personal information with administrative, technical, and organizational measures, including authenticated access, encrypted network transport, and access controls that keep each account’s records separate. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so keep your device and account safe and contact us promptly if you believe your account or data has been compromised.

If a privacy incident creates a real risk of significant harm, we will investigate and provide notices or reports as required by applicable law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when a change is material.

Questions, requests, or complaints may be sent to the Prepethon Privacy Officer at [email protected].
